Ed'€™s guide to buying fire wood.

It's really simple, just choose a load size (we sell full or half load, see a full load here), select your preferred log length, pick a delivery date and time, and we'll do the rest.

Full load (3.2 Cubic Metres) - £210       Half load (1.6 Cubic Metres) - £115

Buying firewood by volume is the clearest way of establishing how much wood you're getting. Also, be sure to ask: Is it hardwood or softwood? How has it been seasoned, for how long has it been seasoned? What is the approximate moisture content? Even then, if you don't like the look of what turns up, send it away. The firewood business has many rogues, so you should not necessarily believe every answer you get.

About our wood

The firewood we supply is predominantly beech, with a small percentage of ash, sycamore and oak. All the wood we sell is purchased from Wessex Woodland Mgmt Ltd, an FSC certified supplier, so we are using a product from sustainable, carefully managed woodlands which in turn means there is very little contribution to Global Warming. Latest news

Last December I applied for a grant through the RDA (Rural Development Agency) to upgrade our firewood processor and log deck, purchase a log grab and rotator and to improve the website. I was informed of the application being successful on March 25th and since then I have had all of the new equipment installed.

The funding, through DEFRA, allows us to offer an ever more efficient and reliable service.
